Bangus Valley
Two vast, linked meadows — Boud Bangus and Lokut Bangus — ringed by coniferous ridges in Kashmir's far northwest. No hotels, no shops, no noise: just shepherd camps, trout streams and grass that runs to the horizon. We camp in deluxe tents and walk wherever curiosity points.

Where the Bringhi river rushes cold and loud through dense deodar forest on the old road to Sinthan Top. Frequently asked questions
Indian nationals need no special permits; foreign nationals require simple registrations for Gurez which we arrange in advance. We handle all paperwork either way.
Charming and simple: family-run guesthouses, log-wood homestays and our own deluxe camps. Think hot meals, warm bedding and hosts who treat you like relatives — not room service.
Patchy to none, and honestly that's the point. Postpaid connections work partially in Gurez; Bangus and Chatpal are gloriously offline.
May to October. Gurez and Bangus are at their greenest June–September; Chatpal and Daksum are beautiful from April's blossoms to October's gold.
